- Which format gives the smallest file size?
- WebP usually produces the smallest files at a given quality, followed by JPEG. PNG is lossless, so its size only changes slightly regardless of the quality slider.
- Will compressing reduce image quality?
- Yes, at lower quality settings, since JPEG and WebP are lossy formats. Use the quality slider to balance file size against visual quality, and compare the before/after size shown for each image.
