FAQ

Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. Metadata is read and removed entirely in your browser. Your photo is never uploaded anywhere.
Why does this matter for privacy?
Many phone cameras embed GPS coordinates, device model, and timestamps directly into photo files. Sharing an unedited photo online can reveal exactly where and when it was taken.
What happens when I remove metadata?
The image is redrawn onto a blank canvas and re-exported, which strips all EXIF, GPS, and XMP data. The visual content of the photo is unchanged.
Does removing metadata reduce image quality?
PNG images stay lossless. JPEG images are re-encoded at high quality (95%), which is visually indistinguishable from the original in almost all cases.
